Vol. 457 No. 1

Written Answers. - Relocation Grant.

Máire Geoghegan-Quinn

Question:

83 Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn asked the Minister for Finance when a final decision will be made on a relocation grant for a family (details supplied) in County Galway who were the victims of severe flooding. [15129/95]

The Commissioners of Public Works have made initial contact with and visited the family in question, who have applied to them to be considered for relocation under the Government's relocation package for flood victims. Information collected on that visit is being evaluated and will lead to further discussions with the family in question regarding the particular circumstances of their case. At this stage, I cannot say when a final decision will be made on the family's application. However, every effort is being made to ensure that the decision will be made at the earliest possible date.
