Vol. 457 No. 1

Written Answers. - Department's Undeveloped Land.

Tony Gregory

Question:

91 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health the amount of undeveloped open space in the ownership of his Department in the Cherry Orchard area of Dublin 10; the location of the land; and the plans, if any, there are for its disposal or development. [14935/95]

Limerick East): Cherry Orchard Hospital, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 is in the ownership of the Eastern Health Board. The entire hospital site consists of approximately 75 acres. Hospital buildings cover approximately 45 acres and the remaining 30 acres of land is unused.

As part of its estate management and capital management process, the Eastern Health Board has been considering the future use of the unused land with a view to providing for foreseeable future service requirements and ultimate disposal of any land considered surplus to such requirements. This consideration is not yet complete.
