John O'Donoghue

Question:

129 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for the Environment the amount paid by his Department for county roads in County Kerry for 1994 and 1995. [15577/95]

Grant payments to county councils for non-national roads are not subdivided on the basis of road categories. Grant payments to Kerry County Council for all non-national roads in their area amounted to £4.720 million in 1994, including a once-off sum of £734,000 from the proceeds of the tax amnesty. The 1995 grant allocation to the council amounts to £5,347,440, including £1,121 million under the special restoration programme for non-national roads.
