43 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of people participating in the household budget scheme; and the number who are tenants with Limerick Corporation, Limerick County Council, Cork Corporation, Cork County Council, Galway Corporation, Galway County Council, Dublin Corporation, Dublin County Council, Waterford Corporation and Waterford County Council. There were 8,477 people participating in the household budgeting scheme at 31 October 1995. This represents an increase of just over 18 per cent since the start of this year.
Details on the number of tenants participating in the scheme in respect of the local authorities requested by the Deputy are as follows: Limerick Corporation, 120; Limerick County Council, 38; Cork Corporation, 137; Cork County Council, 1; Galway Corporation, 85; Galway County Council, 22; Dublin Corporation, 3,602; Fingal County Council, 138; Dún Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council, 93; South Dublin County Concil, 261; Waterford Corporation, 208; Waterford County Council, 46.
