53 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for Social Welfare the plans, if any, he has to publish the White Paper and charter on the voluntary sector that has been prepared by his Department in line with the commitment contained in the Programme for Economic and Social Progress; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As I indicated in reply to Question No. 107 of 5 October 1995, a new draft of a White Paper on voluntary activity has been prepared in my Department which I am examining at present. I anticipate that I will be in a position shortly to go to Government with my revised proposals for the White Paper. My intention is that it will be published early in the New Year.
