Vol. 458 No. 4

Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Andrews — the Government's intentions in relation to the imposition of VAT on golf course green fees in light of the adverse effect this would have on the tourism industry; (2) Deputy O'Rourke — the current position regarding Irish Steel in light of the fact that the attitude of British Steel and the UK Government has hardened considerably over the last few days against the Irish Government's case.

The matters raised by Deputies Andrews and O'Rourke have been selected for discussion.
