Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Molloy — an droch chaoi atá ar áiseanna i Scoil Chuimsitheach Chiaráin, an Cheathrú Rua, Contae na Gaillimhe agus cén plean atá ag an Rialtas chun athchóiriú iomlán a dhéanamh ar an scoil; (2) Deputy Hugh Byrne — the urgent need for the Irish Marine Rescue Service to be equipped with helicopters with night flying capacity in view of recent fatalities in the Wexford and Donegal fishing fleets; (3) Deputy Brendan Smith — the subject matter of Parliamentary Question No. 6 on 16 November to the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry; (4) Deputy Leonard — EU funding for Border counties— (5) Deputy Cowen — the effects on the Irish beef sector of the decision to cut the beef export subsidy by 25 per cent; (6) Deputy Batt O'Keeffe — the need to rectify the unsatisfactory provision for third level places in Cork arising from the Higher Education Authority report; (7) Deputy Flanagan — the need to complete the ongoing refurbishment developments at Mountmellick community school, County Laois to allay the concerns of the local community; (8) Deputy John Browne (Wexford)— the reason a 24 hour sea rescue service has not been provided and the need to improve the service immediately.

The matter raised by Deputies Leonard, Molloy, Cowen and Browne have been selected for discussion.
