Question:205 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the date on which he notified companies tendering for Ireland's second mobile telephone service of the outcome of the tendering process. [17452/95]

Formal confirmation of the result was conveyed in writing to all but one applicant on 9 November. The remaining applicant was not written to because a letter had already been received from him which required detailed consideration. The result was however, conveyed orally to a representative of the consortium and their letter has now been answered.
