Vol. 458 No. 5

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Allowance.

Tom Kitt

Question:

81 Mr. T. Kitt asked the Minister for Health if he will examine the case of a person (details supplied) who is waiting since April 1995, for a disabled persons maintenance allowance to be paid; if he will ensure that other persons transferring from domiciliary care allowance to disabled persons maintenance allowance are not without payment for such an excessive length of time. [17213/95]

Limerick East): The payment of disabled person's maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
