113 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Education if she will provide the necessary finance to St. David's, Christian Brothers school, Artane, Dublin 5, in order to build a school gym; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [17167/95]

My Department has received an application for funding towards the provision of a PE hall at St. David's CBS Artane.

Due to the demands on capital resources available, priority has to be given to the provision of essential teaching accommodation. As a result, it is not possible to make funding available at this stage for the provision of a PE hall at the school in question.
