Question:

60 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Education the plans, if any, she has for the provision of additional accommodation and improved amenities at a school (details supplied) in County Cork. [17574/95]

The accommodation requirements at the school referred to by the Deputy have been assessed by the building unit of my Department and a schedule of accommodation for the school has recently been agreed. My Department's officials will be in contact with the school's authorities shortly to authorise them to appoint a design team for the architectural planning of an extension of 753m² for the school.

Question:

61 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding the payment of approved grant-aid to a school (details supplied) in County Cork. [17575/95]

Part of the grant due to the school was paid on 20 November 1995. The balance will be paid on receipt of certification that the works have been completed satisfactorily. This certification is expected shortly.
