143 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the fact that many colleges are currently preparing their prospectuses for the academic year 1996/1997 but cannot issue them in view of the fact that the lists of approved colleges and approved courses under section 6 of the Finance Act, 1995, are not available; and if she will have arrangements made to have these lists compiled as soon as possible. It will be necessary for me to determine the colleges and courses which qualify for the tax relief on fees provided for in the Finance Act, 1995 by reference to a code of standards for private colleges determined by me with the approval of the Minister for Finance.

I have already indicated that I expect that this code of standards should be available early in 1996.
