Written Answers. - Cleaner Production Funding.
Primary responsibility for research and development in productive sectors rests with my colleague, the Minister for Enterprise and Employment. Within my area of direct responsibility, a sum of 397,000 ECU (approx. IR£321,000) was allocated in 1995 for research and development on cleaner production under the Operational Programme for Environmental Services 1994-99. Overall State investment data in science and technology (including research and development activity) is compiled and published by Forfás with the approval of the Government.
