114 Dr. Moffatt asked the Minister for the Environment if he will consider Bonniconlon village. Ballina, County Mayo, for a pilot sewerage project as announced by him during Dáil Question Time in order to enable the pumping of sewage from this village to a major sewerage system at Ballina, County Mayo, which is five to six miles away, in view of the fact that this village has been waiting 27 years for a sewerage system. Draft contract documents prepared by Mayo County Council for a waste water collection and treatment system for Bonniconlon have been with my Department. It would be a matter for the county council, in the first instance, to consider the feasibility of redesigning the proposed scheme in the manner referred to in the question.
