Vol. 458 No. 8

Written Answers. - Remedial Electrical Work.

Mary O'Rourke

Question:

120 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in carrying out the necessary remedial electrical work at a school (details supplied) in County Westmeath in view of the fact that this work is not of an expensive nature and that all the plans were presented some time ago to her Department. [17613/95]

Proposals for execution of the remedial electrical work at this school were prepared by the school's consulting engineer. In July of this year my Department requested some modifications to the proposals before they could be implemented. The consulting engineer has assured my Department that he will forward the revised proposals without delay. My Department will then be in touch with the school authorities in the matter with a view to expediting the work.
