Vol. 459 No. 5

Written Answers. - Northern Ireland Fuel Prices.

Tony Killeen

Question:

93 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade the plans, if any, he has to encourage traders in this country to benefit from the motor fuel price differential relative to Northern Ireland, following the fuel duty increase in the British budget. [18415/95]

I welcome, of course, any such changes in the market place which give Irish companies an opportunity to add a more competitive edge to the sale of their products. While I have no specific plans, I would urge companies to exploit this opportunity to the maximum.
