Question:

198 Mr. Hughes asked the Minister for Health the number of deaths from cancer and the different types of cancer recorded on an annual basis from 1980 to date in 1996 for County Mayo; and, if records are available, if he will give details regarding the deaths of inhabitants from Castlebar, Swinford and Ballinrobe areas separately. [1334/96]

Limerick East): The number of deaths of County Mayo residents from different types of cancer is set out in the following table. The last full year for which data is available is 1994. Similar information is not available for inhabitants of Castlebar, Swinford and Ballinrobe.
