221 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the proposals for legislation being prepared under the auspices of his Department that have not yet been published; and the statutory instruments being prepared in his Department. [19391/96]
The following proposals for legislation and statutory instruments are in the course of preparation at present: National Cultural Institutions Indemnities and Miscellaneous Provisions Bill. A draft scheme to amend the Wildlife Act, 1976. A draft scheme to give protection to national parks, historic parks and heritage gardens. A Statutory Instrument to update a Flora (Protection) Order made in 1987.
Responses to the Green Paper on Broadcasting are being examined at present in my Department and I hope to be in a position to submit definite legislative proposals for Government consideration during the course of 1996.
