271 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make a statement on the voluntary housing schemes; and if he will give details of the way in which a scheme is set up in view of the fact that this information was requested from his Department before Christmas. [1045/96]

Copies of the explanatory memoranda on the rental subsidy and capital assistance schemes were forwarded, as requested, to the Deputy on 21 December 1995. As it would appear that the information did not reach the Deputy, I have made arrangements for further copies to be sent to him.
