Question:305 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for the Environment if he will sanction the commencement of work on a sewerage scheme for Kinsale, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1435/96]
Written Answers. - Kinsale (Cork) Sewerage Scheme.
My Department has requested Cork County Council to prepare sludge management proposals on the basis of the national sludge strategy study and I have recently approved proposals by the Council to appoint consultants to assist them in this task. My Department has also asked that the preliminary report for the Kinsale sewerage scheme should be reviewed having regard to its sludge management implications.
