344 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for Education the plans, if any, she has to improve the situation for the eligible part-time posts within vocational education committees to ensure earlier sanctioning of these posts. [1056/96]
Proposals for the appointment of eligible part-time teachers in the vocational sector must be submitted by the relevant vocational education committee to my Department for approval. All such proposals are processed and decisions conveyed to the vocational education committee concerned with the minimum of delay. My Department is currently in the process of reviewing its procedures in this area.
