560 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in processing an application under the farm retirement scheme for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in view of the fact that the application was lodged in his Department in December 1994, the transfer was completed in the Land Registry on 6 February 1995, and the first acknowledgement to the application was issued by his Department in January 1996. The application in this case was received in the local farm development service office on 17 November 1995. It was not fully completed at that stage. It was subsequently completed and lodged on 5 January 1996. It is now being processed and payment will be made retrospective to 5 January 1996.
