Máire Geoghegan-Quinn

Question:

593 Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn asked the Minister for Defence the number and name of each airport or military airfield in the country which has controlled airspace allotted to it in which an air traffic control service is provided. [19108/95]

The Air Corps, on behalf of the Minister for Defence and by agreement with the Irish Aviation Authority, provides an air traffic control service at Casement Aerodrome and Gormanstown Airfield. The matter of air traffic control services at civil airports is the responsibility of the Irish Aviation Authority.
