596 Mr. Hilliard asked the Minister for Defence the aircraft funded from the £18.79 million under Subhead H of Vote 36 in 1995; and the aircraft that will be funded from the £13.04 million allocation under Subhead H of Vote 36 in 1996. [19349/96]
Subhead H of the Defence Vote relates principally to the acquisition and maintenance of aircraft operated by the Air Corps. The purchase of the two CASA maritime patrol aircraft was completed by payment of the final amount due in 1995 and this enabled a substantial reduction to be made in the amount required under the subhead for 1996.
