142 Mr. Reynolds asked the Minister for Finance if the Office of Public Works expects to place a contract for the building of a new Garda barracks in Longford during 1996 and the allocation provided in the 1996 Estimates. [1278/96]
The Commissioners of Public Works expect to invite tenders for the construction of the new Garda station in Longford in early February 1996 with a view to placing a contract as soon as possible thereafter.
The necessary finance to allow works to commence this year has been provided in the 1996 Estimates.
