Vol. 460 No. 6

Written Answers. - Dooradoyle (Limerick) Special School.

Willie O'Dea

Question:

170 Mr. O'Dea asked the Minister for Education whether she has received representations to provide a fourth classroom for St. Gabriel's special school (details supplied) in Limerick which is currently under construction at Dooradoyle, Limerick; if so, if her Department's inspector has recommended that a fourth classroom school should be provided; and if she will ensure that a fourth classroom school is provided in view of the compelling case in favour of a fourth classroom. [1743/96]

I have received representations to provide a fourth classroom at St. Gabriel's special school. I am aware that the addition of an extra classroom at this stage would have serious repercussions for the existing contract and I cannot accede to the request at this time.
