Vol. 460 No. 6

Written Answers. - Ramsgrange (Wexford) School Equipment.

Hugh Byrne

Question:

174 Mr. H. Byrne asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the shortfall in equipment for the metalwork room in Ramsgrange community school, County Wexford, as per catalogue; when such equipment will be made available to the school; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1768/96]

I am aware of the request for additional equipment for the senior metalwork room in Ramsgrange community school, County Wexford. As part of a recent extension to the school, the junior metalwork room was converted into a senior metalwork room.

Additional equipment was provided by my Department to make good the difference between the junior and senior cycle requirements. Substitution of some items was requested by the school and subsequently approved by my Department. It is not considered that any shortfall now exists in the provision for senior metalwork at the school.
