261 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications the alterations, if any, made to the Operational Programme for Economic Infrastructure 1994 to 1999 resulting from the annual review of its implementation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2062/96]
The Operational Programme for Economic Infrastructure was approved by the European Commission on 29 July 1994 and it was officially launched and published on 30 September 1994. Arising from the delay in finalising the programme, some re-profiling in the timing of expenditure under the programme was necessary.
Outturns of expenditure for 1995 under the various measures of the operational programme remain to be finalised. However, implementation of the operational programme is proceeding satisfactorily. The bulk of the expenditure under the programme will be incurred during 1997-1999 inclusive.
