Question:211 Mr. Clohessy asked the Minister for Social Welfare the submissions he has received to the task force on the security of the elderly. [2451/96]
It is proposed to answer Questions Nos. 210 and 211 together.
Individuals, organisations and interested parties were invited to make submissions to the task force for the security of the elderly. Responses are being received on a daily basis and this is expected to continue for some time. I understand that over 300 responses have been received to date. These have come from organisations and individuals, and I understand many constructive suggestions have been made which will be considered by the task force. The task force is due to report to me by the end of the month.
