A number of reports relating to waste management have recently been published or are in prospect.
A policy statement, "Waste Management for Ireland", was published in May 1995. A report entitled "The Economics of Solid Waste Management in Ireland", which was commissioned by my Department from the environment policy unit of the Economic and Social Research Institute, was published in November 1995.
I have recently stated that, following the launch by IBEC of the REPAK report, "Working Together on Waste", I intend to publish a review of the Government recycling strategy shortly.
