107 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Education her current policy on childcare provision; the projects, if any, that have received funding; and the future plans, if any, there are for the development of childcare services. [3441/96]

Responsibility for the provision and development of child care services rests with my colleague the Minister for Health.

I understand that the Minister for Health will respond directly to the issues raised by the Deputy.
