165 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht the progress, if any, made on the strategy study on coastal zone management undertaken between the his Department and the Departments of the Marine and Environment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3778/96]
The Deputy will be aware that the study on coastal zone management in Ireland was commissioned in August 1995 by the Ministers for the Environment, Marine and Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht.
A programme of consultation, co-ordinated by the Department of the Environment, has taken place and I understand that the consultants are due to report at the end of March 1996.
I am aware that the Deputy will today receive replies to identical questions which he has put down to the Ministers for the Environment and the Marine.
