Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy de Valera — concern regarding the proposed building and refurbishment programme for Kilrush Community School, County Clare; (2) Deputy Ring — the need to provide a remedial teacher for a school (details supplied) in County Mayo; (3) Deputy Shortall — the need to require primary and second level schools to notify the Department of Education of cases where children are expelled or refused entry; (4) Deputy Michael Ahern — the threat to roadways arising from coastal erosion in Ballycotton and Ring, Ballymacoda, County Cork; (5) Deputy Dermot Ahern — the level of monitoring by State agencies of the possibility of toxic containers being washed up on the Irish Sea coastline; (6) Deputy Lawlor — the need to address the question of the availability of post-primary school places in the Lucan area of County Dublin; (7) Deputy Martin — the circumstances surrounding the omission of craftwork produced by leaving certificate students from the assessment of the 1995 art examination and, in particular, the reason for the lapse of time between the discovery of the error and the notification of the Minister for Education; (8) Deputy Noel Treacy — the need to protect the milk quota of a co-operative society (details supplied) by preventing the transfer of the milk quota of another organisation; (9) Deputy Pat Gallagher (Laoighis-Offaly)— the action being taken to avert the closure of Butler Engineering, Portarlington, County Laois and to save the jobs of the company's workforce; (10) Deputy Quill — the need to conduct a study of the link between illness and proximity to overhead electric cables and pylons and (11) Deputy O'Dea — the recent seizures in Dublin of the drug known as crack cocaine.

The matters raised by Deputies de Valera, Gallagher, Noel Treacy and Michael Ahern have been selected for discussion.
