Vol. 461 No. 7

Written Answers. - St. Gabriels (Limerick) School.

Helen Keogh

Question:

212 Ms Keogh asked the Minister for Education the reason the new building for St. Gabriels School for the physically disabled, St. Joseph's Street, Limerick, currently being built makes provision for only three classes when the need is for four. [3746/96]

When the school was designed, my Department considered that three classrooms were adequate to meet the school's needs and this was the basis on which the contract was placed.

However, in view of concerns raised that the accommodation being provided is inadequate, I am arranging to have the matter re-examined and will be in contact with the school authorities when this has been completed.
