Vol. 461 No. 7

Written Answers. - Glebe (Kildare) Junior School.

Frances Fitzgerald

Question:

217 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Education the financial provision, if any, she has made for Glebe junior school in Leixlip, County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [3439/96]

The position is that the State extends funding only to those schools which seek and obtain recognition as primary schools under the rules for national schools.

Glebe junior school is not a recognised primary school and consequently there is no basis on which I can make any financial provision for it.
