Question:261 Mr. Bree asked the Minister for Social Welfare when a decision will be made on an application for family income supplement submitted by a person (details supplied) in County Sligo. [3768/96]

The person concerned made an application for family income supplement on 29 November 1995 and a weekly payment of £5 has been awarded from that date. This will increase to £11 from 13 July in line with the budget increases I announced in January. Arrangements have been made for payment, including arrears due, to issue this week.
