Vol. 461 No. 8

Bovine Diseases (Levies) (Amendment) Bill, 1995: Report and Final Stages.

Acting Chairman

As there are no amendments on Report Stage we must proceed to the order for Fifth Stage.

Agreed to take Fifth Stage today.

Question proposed: "That the Bill do now pass".

I thank all Members for their constructive contributions and general support for the new proposals under the bovine diseases eradication scheme. No doubt the Minister will take some of their suggestions on board.

I too welcome the passage of this Bill. It is generally agreed that these changes are necessary and should be implemented.

Though not having participated in this debate, not representing a strictly agricultural constituency, I take this opportunity of thanking the Minister on behalf of my party for his approach and am convinced that the scheme will be considerably improved.

Question put and agreed to.
Sitting suspended at 11.56 a.m. and resumed at 12.01 p.m.
