Vol. 462 No. 2

Written Answers. - Alternative School Placement.

Seán Haughey

Question:

137 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Education the progress, if any, that has been made by her Department's inspectorate to find an alternative second-level school placement for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 3; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [4131/96]

The enrolment of pupils in second level schools is the responsibility of the managerial authorities of individual schools. I am aware of the unsuccessful efforts made to have this pupil placed in a second level school. My Department is currently endeavouring to have the pupil concerned placed in a second-level school in her locality. I will advise the Deputy of developments in due course.
