163 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education when a remedial teacher will be made available for a national school (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact that this post was to be filled in September 1995. [4439/96]
I am not in a position at present to make a remedial teacher post available to the school mentioned by the Deputy. My Department is not aware of any commitment given to provide a remedial service to the school in question for September 1995. When I am in a position to extend the remediation service, the school referred to by the Deputy will receive every consideration.
