Written Answers. - School Parking Facilities.

Question:

167 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Education if she will review as a matter of urgency the plans which have been submitted to her Department for car and bus parking facilities at a school (details supplied) in County Westmeath in view of the fact that the board of management at this school are working with the county council in creating a safer environment for the children and it is vital that her Department fund these works, which are necessary to offset an emergency. The proposals for parking facilities at the school referred to by the Deputy are currently being examined by my Department's architectural service. When their report has been received and considered, a decision on grant-aid will be conveyed to the school authorities.
