Vol. 462 No. 2

Written Answers. - School Parking Facilities.

Mary O'Rourke

Question:

167 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Education if she will review as a matter of urgency the plans which have been submitted to her Department for car and bus parking facilities at a school (details supplied) in County Westmeath in view of the fact that the board of management at this school are working with the county council in creating a safer environment for the children and it is vital that her Department fund these works, which are necessary to offset an emergency. [4453/96]

The proposals for parking facilities at the school referred to by the Deputy are currently being examined by my Department's architectural service. When their report has been received and considered, a decision on grant-aid will be conveyed to the school authorities.
