Vol. 462 No. 2

Written Answers. - Collinamuck (Galway) National School.

Robert Molloy

Question:

174 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the urgency of approving major works at Collinamuck national school, County Galway to facilitate completion of work before commencement of the school year in September 1996; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [4525/96]

A building project at Collinamuck national school is included in my Department's primary school building programme. Architectural planning has reached the stage where an application for planning permission was recently submitted to the local authority. A decision on the timing of the tender process will be made by my Department in light of the financial resources available. Every effort will be made to expedite the project through the planning and construction phases.
