Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Kathleen Lynch — the need to standardise hourly wage rates for home helps in all health board areas; (2) Deputy Seán Ryan — the number of abscondments from Oberstown House, Lusk, County Dublin over the past year and the proposals, if any, there are for improving security at the centre in view of the concerns of the local residents; (3) Deputy Séamus Brennan — the action, if any, the Minister for Enterprise and Employment proposes to take in the light of the threat to 30 jobs at Irish Helicopters; (4) Deputy Killeen — the need to provide funding for Ennis swimming pool; (5) Deputy Lawlor — the need for a new Garda station in the greater Blanchardstown area of Dublin; (6) Deputy Frances Fitzgerald — the revelations regarding the residential home at Goldenbridge, Inchicore, and the outcome of the initial investigation into this matter; (7) Deputy Shortall — the need to extend the preferential terms for the Telecom Phonewatch Medi System to pensioners in urban areas; (8) Deputy Keogh — the account given to Dáil Éireann by the Minister for Education of the circumstances surrounding the omission of craftwork produced by leaving certificate students from the assessment of the 1995 art examination; (9) Deputy O'Donnell — the need to introduce stringent procedures to protect children from abuse in residential care in the light of recent revelations concerning an orphanage in Goldenbridge, Inchicore, and the non-publication of the report on Madonna House and (10) Deputy Michael McDowell — the need to end the uncertainty in relation to the future of the Trustee Savings Bank.

The matters raised by Deputies Frances Fitzgerald, O'Donnell, Killeen and Keogh have been selected for discussion.
