Written Answers. - Research Projects.
The five main policy research projects currently under way in the Department are: (1) Integration of tax and social welfare — expert group; (2) Commission on the Family; (3) Survey of household income and poverty — ESRI; (4) Review of social welfare rates — ESRI; (5) Survey of occupational pensions.
In addition there is a significant technology-based project being undertaken, funded under the EU Fourth Framework programme, to develop an interactive information kiosk for public use.
