273 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for the Marine if he will make a special allocation for coastal protection at the western side of the EU approved Blue Flag beach, The Warren, Rosscarbery, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4458/96]
As I indicated on last Tuesday evening on the Adjournment, fully costed, designed and justified proposals are awaited from Cork County Council. When these are received they will be fully considered by the Department of the Marine over the remaining years of the operational programme for environmental services. If the council includes Rosscarbery among its priority proposals it will of course also be considered.
