Vol. 462 No. 2

Written Answers. - Dundalk (Louth) Drainage Works.

Dermot Ahern

Question:

120 Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment if he will consider the inclusion of the necessary remedial work in relation to the Dundalk, County Louth, main drainage scheme in order to ensure that surface flooding in the Ardee Road area of Dundalk no longer occurs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4222/96]

Drainage proposals, which would provide a degree of protection against flooding in this area, have been submitted to my Department in the context of the Dundalk main drainage scheme. My Department is continuing its examination of these proposals.
