89 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Social Welfare the cost of social insurance increases in 1994 and 1995; and the projected cost of increasing social insurance for the full year 1996. [4620/96]

The cost of the social insurance rate increases in the 1994 and 1995 budgets and the projected full year cost of the 1996 budget rate increases in social insurance payments are as follows:

90 Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of people who are in receipt of the family income supplement, back to work allowance, educational opportunities scheme, preretirement allowance, adult dependant allowance, child dependant allowance; and the number of recipients for each social insurance and social assistance category. [4621/96]

The information requested is contained in the following table. The table shows the total number of people who availed of the students summer jobs scheme during the summer of 1995. The table also shows the total number of people who are availing of the vocational training opportunities scheme and the third level allowance scheme in the 1995-96 academic year.

All of the schemes in question are social assistance schemes.
