Business of Dáil: Motion.

I move: "That, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, statements on the communiqué issued after the meeting between the Taoiseach and the British Prime Minister shall take place at 7.45 p.m., shall be brought to a conclusion not later than 4.45 p.m. tomorrow evening and the following arrangements shall apply; (1) there shall be no Private Members' Business this evening, (2) the sitting shall be suspended from 7 p.m. to 7.45 p.m. this evening, (3) the Dáil shall sit later than 8.30 p.m. tonight and business shall be interrupted on the conclusion of the opening statements, (4) opening statements shall be made by the Taoiseach, the leader of the Fianna Fáil Party, the leader of the Progressive Democrats Party, the Minister for Social Welfare and the Minister for Justice who shall be called upon in that order and shall not exceed 20 minutes in each case, (5) the statement of each other Member called upon shall not exceed 15 minutes in each case and, (6), Members may share time."
