61 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for the Environment the pass rate for driving tests in Newcastle West, County Limerick; the number of applicants that did the test in 1995; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4565/96]

A total of 1,331 driving tests were carried out in Newcastle West in 1995. The pass rate was 55.9 per cent. The national average pass rate was 54.8 per cent.
