Question:

108 Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for Justice the arrests, if any, there have been made arising out of the seizure of illegal drugs at Urlingford, County Kilkenny; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [5206/96]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 106, 107 and 108 together.

It is not the practice for the Minister for Justice to make statements to the House about the progress or detail of individual Garda investigations.

All I propose to say in this case is that I have been informed by the Garda authorities that the investigation is ongoing. I also understand that this seizure was the largest in the history of the State.
