29 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for the Marine if, in view of widespread concern, he will investigate the alleged increases in seabed levels in the Dublin Bay area; and if he will make public the findings of any such investigation. [5062/96]

I am not aware of the concerns and understanding referred to and have no proposal for an investigation in seabed levels in Dublin Bay.

Dublin Corporation, however, has commissioned consultants to carry out a study on siltation levels at the causeway at Bull Island. The publication of the findings of that study which I understand is nearing completion is primarily a matter for Dublin Corporation.
